Cool Interior Car Styling

A collection of cool car interior styling from around the world including some very cool concept car interiors.

GM Buick Riviera Concept Car Interior
The Riviera’s interior can be summed up with one word: sanctuary. The use of rich blue and subtle creams, representing water and earth, is conveyed in the high-quality leather bucket seats, plush carpet and a luxurious, padded steering wheel.

It is immediately futuristic yet somehow familiar. A three-dimensional speedometer, inspired by past classics but utterly modern in design, compliments the touchpad styled central console loosely modeled on a computer mouse. An LCD display screen crowns the central console. Riviera’s interior designers were encouraged to consider people's personal belongings to enhance their feeling of familiarity and comfort in the vehicle. Continuing the theme of calm simplicity, electronic shifter pads replace the traditional transmission shifter and controls are kept to a minimum to deter driver distraction.

Ambient light strips are applied across the console and inserted on the door liner, stretching to the front seats. Deliberately imitating precious Chinese jade stone, the lights are tinted a subtle icy green, which also offers tribute to a favored color of historical Buicks of days gone by.

Interior trim treatments befitting the Buick prestige abound: miniature aluminum tri-shields in the front seat headrests; a wooden floor mat in the rear; and a rear central armrest which can move sideways left and right to accommodate passengers of different sizes.

Mazda-Ryuga Concept Interior
The Ryuga accommodates four passengers in typical 2+2 seating, with front bucket seats and a lounge-like rear passenger area.

A "floating" center cluster with elongated pods includes a multi-function touch panel for controls and displays. A set of charge-coupled device (CCD) cameras are installed for monitoring the rearward view and blind-spot.

The steering wheel is an open top style, which utilizes steer-by-wire technology.

Honda CR-Z Interior
The key words for the CR-Z’s interior design are ‘Hi-tech and Sporty’. The goal was to create an all-new sporty interior that fuses the liberating feel of airy spaciousness with an advanced interface that brings out the fun of the drive.

Mesh material on a simple framework construction is used throughout the interior to convey a light, sophisticated image without being oppressive. In the cockpit, the meter unit conveys the image of advanced technology ensconced in a piece of glass artwork, offering the functionality of immediate recognition while enhancing the driving experience with a futuristic and exhilarating feeling.

Holden Car Concept Interior
This has to be one of our favorite car interiors. Blending old and new, this Holden concept has class written all over it.

Mac Mini: Integrated to an Infiniti M45 Sport
Very cool little setup that essentially proves that in-car computing is going to soon get so nasty-easy that everyone will be doing it in about a year.

Essentially, they've used a Mac mini running OS X and Apple's Front Row software to power the center, Salling Clicker software to control it, and they transfer everything over via Rsync X when the car is "docked" in the garage. Except for the power supply and video inputs—which usually stymie most in-car installs—this setup could go into just about any vehicle without a hitch.

Torana TT36 concept car interior
The Torana TT36 interior is an exercise in black and white contemporary cool, described by Holden's young colour and trim team as ‘nu luxury'.

Taking inspiration from forecast fashion trends in domestic and industrial design, they gave it smoothly sculptured white leather seats and mirror-gloss finishes in piano black and pearlescent perspex, contrasted with soft-feel textures and black techno-mesh rubber floor covering.

The pink exterior theme is picked up in clever LED lighting effects and a ‘retro future' 3D instrument layout that can be customized to the driver's taste. Open the door and a full- length lighting strip integrated into the glass roof radiates a healthy pink glow. Press the backlit central starter button to play twin turbo engine idle music. Touch the interactive infotainment screen to control myriad functions – phone, CD, SatNav, DVD, address book and other Blue Tooth-compatible features.

Alpine’s 2003 Honda Civic Si Car Interior
All in all, Alpine spent over a quarter of a million dollars on this Civic. This is a car so littered with electronics it could only be described as unprecedented.

The sticker price a cool $250,000.

Volvo's C30 interior by Heico

The beauty of Volvo's new C30 is that it begs to be customized. Like a blank canvas or a pristine white sand beach, Heico's designers dressed the solid white flanks of the C30's exterior with a radiant, splashy orange surf-pattern kit.

The bright orange wave originates at the lower front fenders, artfully climbs up the doors, crests the edges of the tailgate and wraps neatly around the rear fascia.

XBOX Car Interior
This is a concept car from Suzuki. The original car was made way back in ‘06, and is not made by some random Halo obsessed Xbox man-child with technical car modification prowess.

Bling Bling Car Interior
I don’t know about anyone else but this car looks pretty un-comfy to me.

A-Bat Concept from Toyota
This Toyota concept has super-cool Wi-Fi connectivity and a hard drive so you can play your favorite tracks when commuting.

An AC/DC battery makes sure that you can plug in everything from a gadgetry contingent.

Pink Louis Vuitton Car Interior
Got the bag, got the shows, now get the car.

Hello Kitty Car Interior
This interior was unveiled at the international extreme auto show 08 in Thailand. There is definitely a girly feel to this interior.

Land Rover LRX concept
Check out this cool interior!

A large part of the design and engineering influence for the Land Rover LRX concept comes from the idea of sustainability, and the fuel savings created by making a more compact and aerodynamic vehicle are further complimented by the use of recycled materials such as vegetable-tanned leather, recyclable aluminium, and carpeting made from sustainable sources. Even the 'suede' on the door inserts and headliner is made from a 100% recycled material created from used plastic bottles.

Chevrolet SS Concept
Loving this simple but very cool interior.
