Frankfurt Motor Show 2009: Porsche has shown four novelties

Porsche has arranged in Geneva at once four world premiers . However, all new cars are new versions of well-known 911th family. Outwardly all cars do not differ almost from these cars exhausted earlier, however, the main feature in other. Lets start to talk which cars was presented in Frankfurt. It is 911 Turbo, 911 GT3 RS, 911 GT3 RS Cup and 911 Sport Classic.

The main difference of new cars from the old consists in the engine. If earlier cars had the unit in volume of 3,6 l henceforth the motor volume has increased to 3,8 l. Engineers have not simply increased volume of the power unit, it is absolutely new engine which has been developed from a blank leaf! The most powerful is, certainly, all-wheel drive 911 Turbo. Thanks to presence of two turbo compressors with changeable geometry the 3,8-litre unit gives out at once 500 h.p. (old version 911 Turbo had 480 h.p.). There is also one more news – instead of traditional "automatic machine" 911 Turbo will be possible to equip with box PDK with two clutches (certainly, "mechanics" anywhere will not get to). And with PDK new 911 Turbo will be the most dynamical – from a place to 100 km/h new 911 Turbo will be dispersed for 3,4 sec only. Well and the maximum speed of the car will make 312 km/h.



Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be hardly more slowly 911 Turbo, however, this car will buy as a basis for construction of "fighting" cars for races. 911 GT3 RS it is equipped only with a rear wheel drive and only a mechanical gear box with "short" numbers, more a broad gauge of the front and rear wheels, special suspender PASM. Besides, the car will receive a safety framework, the present racing seats, tyres of dimension 245/35 ZR19 in front and 325/30 ZR19 behind. There is also one more difference GT3 RS from usual cars – here there are dynamic engine bearers which change the ruggedness in amortisation depending on a situation. As a result at active style of driving joint of the power unit with a body improves.



And still there is version 911 GT3 Cup. It is already high-grade racing car which experts Porsche have constructed on the basis of GT3 RS. This car has the same 450-strong engine, but thus weight 911 GT3 Cup is lowered to is minimum possible. The car weighs only 1200 kg! Body GT3 Cup is much wider, than at 911 GT3 RS, besides on the racing version other weather-cloths and modified spoilers of the increased area which have considerably increased the clamping force operating on front and rear shafts are established. GT3 Cup has received adjusted system of an exhaust and braking system PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) with composit brake plates which have allowed not only to raise efficiency and stability of braking, but also to reduce weight of the car by 20 kgs. The suspender kinematics is a little changed, ruggedness is not regulated, but there is a possibility to adjust an overall performance of antiroll bars.
